About the Institute

Bharatesh PU College of Arts Commerce & Science at Arihantgiri Campus was established in the year 2007. The brand name Bharatesh brought in a flow of students right from the year of inception. Today Bharatesh PU College is one of the reputed Institutions of Belagavi. The institution provides high quality education to around 700 students. The College is located in the heart of the city & in close proximity to Central bus stand making commuting hassle free for the students.

The College Uniform brings in a sense of discipline & uniformity among students & avoids discrimination based on culture & religion.

A bouquet of Events are conducted to explore the hidden talents among students. Students are groomed to overcome their fear, build confidence & develop their all-round Personality.  Guest lectures by eminent personalities from various disciplines are organized for the benefit of the students.

At our institution, we offer a plethora of enriching opportunities that extend beyond conventional class settings. We provide experimental learning opportunity by conducting Field visits, Industrial visits, Historical visits, visit to sericulture & mushroom farms, silk factory, Planetariums, Zoo etc are organized. 

Our college also offers crash course for KCET & CA .

The Institution offers fee concession to meritorious students based on their performance in the SSLC examination.

 Bharatesh Education Trust also offers scholarships to needy & meritorious students.
The Interest incurred on the corpus Fund of Rs 2.8 crores is distributed as
scholarship to around 100 needy students of Bharatesh Education Trust.

Toppers of PU II Board Exam of each stream & students  securing highest marks in Individual subjects are felicitated with Endowment Prizes.

Paresents meet is conducted frequently to inform the parents about the progress of their words.  

Each class has a mentor for priming the students.

Presently the College has 35 teaching & non teaching staff on its Roll. The young , dynamic & enthusiastic members of the staff are very dedicated in nurturing & moulding young minds.

Till date 4255 students have passed out from the portals of the Institution. The Alumni of our Institution have spread far & wide. Most of them are well placed in leading MNC’s like IBM, Microsoft, Wipro, TCS, Standard Chartered, Barclays Bank, British Petroleum etc, some serving the Defence services, a few in the film Industry, Doctorates  serving in Higher Educational Institutions, a few in Govt. Sector etc.

Our College was accorded Centre for PU II Board Exam in 2009.

Our College is also Centre for many Competitive Exams like Karnataka CET & KSET conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA), KPTCL Exam, Police Exams etc.

Classrooms & Labs. of the College are well equipped with Teaching Learning Materials (TLM’s). The spacious, well illuminated & ventilated Library serves as an ideal place for reading & enhancing knowledge.

The College also offers free training to Athletes & other budding sportsmen.  Bharatesh Sports Academy was established in the year 2021 with the objective to nurture budding Athletes, build their physical fitness, groom their overall personality & train them for National level Meets. The Athletes are trained by Physical Director of the College Shri. Pradeep Juvekar. Many of our students have secured medals at State & National level in Karate, Judo, Skating, Athletics etc.

We are……….. Bharatesh Education Trust, a name synonymous with quality education, active learning experience & industry interface. The Trust was started in 1962 by a bunch of passionate young entrepreneurs who wanted to bring about a meaningful change in the society through the best way ….. education. The small seed sown 61 years ago has today grown into a massive tree with over 19 educational institutions, a rural hospital to cater to the needs of the rural poor, reaching out to the underprivileged through the community polytechnic & strengthening eager hands through its skill development activities. The courses offered from KG to PG, across three beautiful & buzzing campuses in and around Belagavi City and other two campuses at Halaga and Kuduchi. Over 8000 students avail the quality education imparted at its institutions. More than 800 staff members are on the rolls of the institutions.

  1. Students should be regular and punctual to the college
  2. Student can appear for the PUC Examination only if his / her attendance is minimum 75% in each subject (theory & practical).
  3. Identity Card must be worn while in the college campus
  4. Student should not remain absent for the Test & Examinations.
  5. Student should not stand or loiter in the corridors of the college during or after the college hours.
  6. Students misconduct either inside or outside the college premises will be held as a serious breach of discipline and dealt with accordingly.
  7. Students falling to abide by the rules are liable for disciplinary action by the the principal.
  8. Use of mobile in the classroom & college campus is strictly prohibited.
  9. Smoking, chewing of pan & gutka or use of any addictive substance is prohibited.
  10. All the students must abide by the dress code of the college, framed in accordance with the secular nature of the college environment.
  11. Wearing clothes such as priest robes, cassocks, burkha etc, indicative or symbolic of any religion, caste, community or sect is strictly prohibited.

The library is supposed to be the core of any educational institution. Every effort is being made for the development & enrichment of the Library. The Library is planned in such a way that it meets entirely the needs of the students. Books are supplied to the students for home reading.

  1. The Library will be kept open during the academic terms on all working days except on Sundays & Holidays.
  2. Readers are requested to use the books with great care.
  3. Writing or marking in the books is strictly forbidden.
  4. The books will be issued to the student on borrower’s card once in a week on the day fixed for each class.
  5. Each borrower’s ticket will be valid only for the years specified on it. Borrowers ticket is not valid unless it bears the signature of the both the Librarian & the Borrower.
  6. The borrower’s ticket is non transferable.
  7. One book can be borrowed at a time on the production of the borrower’s ticket.
  8. The borrower in whose name any book is issued will be primarily responsible to return the book or to pay the resent cost of the book in case it is lost or disfigured.
  9. The borrower should take care of their borrower’s ticket. Loss of borrower’s ticket or any library book must be immediately reported in writing to the Librarian. Duplicate Borrower’s ticket will be issued to the borrower on payment of required fees.
  10. Clearance certificate will not be issued to the borrower unless he / she has returned all the library books & paid the fines, dues if any.
  11. Penalty, per day per book shall be recovered from the borrower for the delay in returning the library book.

Bharatesh Sports Academy started in the year 2021.The prime objective of this academy is to nurture budding athletes, build up their physical fitness, groom their overall personality and train them for National Level Meets. Around 70 students are enrolled in this academy and these athletes are trained by Physical Director and athletics coach Shri. Pradeep Juvekar. Every day the athletes are coached in the morning and evening between 6am to 8.30am and between 3.45pm to 6.30pm.
