Job Title: Laboratory Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our team and support the analysis and processing of samples. This role involves preparation and documentation of samples, maintenance of laboratory instruments, and adherence to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
Label and document incoming samples in logbooks and electronic systems such as Excel.
Prepare samples for analysis, including aliquoting and organizing materials for scheduled testing.
Prepare reagents and buffers according to SOPs and maintain an accurate chemical inventory.
Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of laboratory instruments.
Restock consumables like glassware, pipette tips, and gloves; keep the work area clean and organized.
Accurately record all activities in logbooks or electronic systems in compliance with GMP/GLP requirements.
Dispose of chemical and biological waste following established safety protocols.
Adhere to PPE guidelines and promptly report any unsafe conditions.
Assist with QC test setup and provide support for additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
Basic knowledge of laboratory procedures and safety practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with strong data-entry accuracy.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to follow written instructions and SOPs with accuracy.
Comfortable standing for extended periods.
Ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs.
Capability to handle chemicals safely while wearing required PPE.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Effective time-management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
Demonstrated commitment to quality and compliance standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
0-1 year of experience in a laboratory setting (entry-level candidates encouraged to apply).
Experience in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Pharmaceutical studies.
Work Environment
This role is situated in the Finishing Department, which includes several sub-departments such as label review and blistering. The work environment requires handling allergens, so candidates must be free from allergies. The position requires flexibility to assist in various areas of the Finishing Department and Warehouse as needed. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 6:30 am to 3:30 pm. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
